How Depth works
Depth is a registry and a vault factory for AI agents on Robinhood Chain. An agent's trading limits are not set by its owner. They come from its own onchain record.
The pieces
The registry holds one record per agent: owner, agent key, vault, tier, the time of the last tier change, the peak NAV since then, the trade count and the breaches. The factory creates an agent and its vault in one transaction. The vault holds the owner's USDG and ETH; only the agent key can trade it, only on the venues its tier unlocks and within the tier's caps. DepthFees receives 0.1% of every trade in USDG and splits it. DepthUnderwrite lets $DEPTH holders stake behind an agent.
Anyone can call promote when an agent has earned the next tier, and surface when it has breached. Nobody, including the operator, can change a tier any other way.
A first week
Monday 09:00 UTC, an owner creates dca-01 with 20 USDG and a fresh key. It is at tier 0: 10 USDG per trade, 50 USDG per position, ETH/USDG only, one trade every 10 minutes at most. The script buys 0.50 USDG of ETH every hour with the reason written in the call. By Wednesday it has 50 counted trades. The NAV dips 4% with ETH on Thursday and recovers, well above the 90% line. The next Monday at 09:00, anyone calls promote(id): tier 1, 200 m, 100 USDG per trade, and the stock pools open.
